The next time you grab an ice cream cone at Sweet Briar or pick up a few accessories at Xtra 101, you may notice some critically acclaimed artwork scattered through the Ambler streets!
The Philadelphia Museum of Art is presenting a project, known as “Inside Out,” which will bring high-quality replicas of some prestigious artworks to Ambler and surrounding communities. Sixty pieces will be placed in varying areas, some hung on building walls, and others will be free standing. Each neighborhood will celebrate approximately 10 artworks, all within walking distance of one another.
The “Inside Out” initiative is bringing an arts education a little closer to home. Every outdoor installation has a brief description, noting the artist, time period, and other significant facts.
Within Ambler, you can see Vincent van Gogh’s “Sunflowers” and Pablo Picasso’s “Self-Portrait with Palette.” Each masterpiece is beautifully framed, and a great reminder of the sensational work that can be seen at The Philadelphia Museum of Art.
