Life, liberty, and the pursuit of…Fireworks?
The 4th of July is here and everyone is decked out in their red, white, and blue attire. Whether you spend your day relaxing in the pool, enjoying a parade, or serving up your favorites off the grill, at night, all eyes seem to turn to the sky.
As the sun goes down, people grab their blankets and lawn chairs and head to parks, schools, and porches to catch a glimpse of the illuminated night sky. With loud “booms” and “pops,” the masses count the colors and watch the many formations and patterns that they have been waiting for since last July.
In Upper Dublin, fireworks are only a matter of minutes away. With local displays at several surrounding high schools and carnivals, residents have their pick of places to view the sparkling sky on July 3rd and 4th.
Looking to visit Philadelphia for the 4th? Hop on the Regional Rail and head straight to the Parkway! The Philly 4th of July Jam, also known as the “Largest Free Concert in America,” will feature performances by Philadelphia’s own, The Roots. The music starts at 7:00 p.m. and concludes with an expansive fireworks show over the Philadelphia Museum of Art. With extended service hours, trains will be running late into the night to ensure that everyone makes it back to Montgomery County, after celebrating the USA’s birthday.
Whether celebrating in your hometown or venturing to a nearby city, fireworks fun is always accessible and a great way to wrap up your July 4th holiday!
Happy Independence Day!
